Chi Rompe, Paga

Mom, are you reading this?

Yesterday, walking about on my way to the National Museum of Archeology, I passed by the church of San Gregorio Armeno in the center of Naples. On the street that passes in front of the church there are a bunch of shops that sell terracotta figurines and nativity sets.

Photos here.

My mother has a Neapolitan navity set that I think her father brought back from Italy many years ago. My brothers and I really loved it when we were kids ... Or, rather, we liked playing around with the figurines, some of which I'm pretty sure we either broke or lost over time.

So, Mom, if you want me to replace any lost or missing pieces, now is the time to let me know. Because I'm absolutely certain that your dad picked up the nativity set on this street.

I also got a brief peek into the blaze of glory that is the interior of the church of San Gregorio.

I was wearing shorts, so I could not go inside ... Another day, I hope.
